Mark Krel, D.O., is a proud native of Southern California. He completed his undergraduate, graduate, medical education, neurosurgical residency and fellowship training in California. After his neurosurgery residency, Dr. Krel received subspecialty training and served as a clinical instructor in stereotactic, functional, epilepsy, and pain neurosurgery at Stanford University. He specializes in epilepsy (including invasive monitoring, neuro-stimulation, and open and minimally invasive surgery), movement disorders, pain, and psychosurgery to treat depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and other diseases. Additionally, Dr. Krel has broad experience in general neurosurgery and trauma neurosurgery with training in California’s busiest Level I and Level II trauma centers.
