Learn About the RNS System

The RNS® System is an award-winning technology developed and manufactured in Silicon Valley that has been recognized for its innovation. Similar to a pacemaker that monitors and responds to heart rhythms, the RNS System is the first and only medical device that can monitor and respond to brain activity.

It is a treatment for drug-resistant epilepsy for individuals 18 and older who have focal seizures that start in one or two locations in the brain. Studies have shown seizure reduction over time for patients treated with the RNS System.
